Router Transformation In Informatica

Router Transformation

Ø  Each user defined output group of Router transformation is associated with a condition and when a record satisfying an output group condition the record will be router to corresponding output group.
Ø  A Router transformation tests data for one or more conditions and gives you the option to route rows of data that do not meet any of the conditions to a default output group.
Ø  A Router transformation consists of input and output groups, input and output ports, group filter conditions, and properties that you configure in the Designer, see the below figure to understand differnet components of a Router transformation

Ø  When a record is satisfying multiple group conditions the record will be routed to all the corresponding output groups.
Ø  When a record is not satisfying any group condition the record will be routed to Default output group.

Ø  The Router transformation can be used to route data coming from Relational and Non relational sources.
